flag day was fun:D
we spent like half an hour waiting for the stupid tins, but it was worth it. at least it was fun, for me at least. the tin was bigger than i expected, and i laughed at nobelle for bringing a shoe bag and she would need to hold that and the tin to ask for donations:D
we went as 2L'ers, like the old clique tgt la. so it was jiarong qh zijun and me:D jasmine wasn't feeling well, so too bad. we lazed around in jurong east for a few minutes, and we went to clementi by mrt. lots of people there, and quite a few RVians too. we walked one round, and there was this son anf father i asked, so the conversation when like this:
Me: good morning, would you like to donate? (grins)
Son: NO!(shouts)
Father gives son a glare.
Son:... ... y-yes.

LOL. and there was this guy who i asked, and he nodded his head, but he walked off! if i were pissed i would follow him and ask him la. LOL.

then we went to boon lay interchange and there are like... so many RVians there, but we found a spot for ourselves in the end anyway. jiarong and ziju went for a munch for 5 minutes, and qh and i were like asking like crazy. qianhui laughed at me for being quite stupid. but i got some donations:D

here's my idiot guide to be charismatic:
1) find your target
don't find s:
people walking fast because they are in a hurry
people with lots of things because you will embarass yourself when they explain why they ain't donating
people walking away from you because they obviously don't want to be asked, and don't stalk them

do find s:
people taking out wallets, because it is conveient
people in groups, because if you are lucky, all of them very donate tgt
people standing around, because they are free to donate

2) take a deep breath
important, and clear your mind before you ask

3) give a great big GRIN:D
look, no one will donate if you ap them. smile as nicely and widely as you want

4) speak politely and remember your statement
"good morning sir/madam, would you like to donate?
yes: thank you very much, do have a nice day:D
no: thank you, see you again:D"
i kept saying download instead of donate, and i lost a few customers for that.

5) "would you like a sticker?"
important, because i guess you wouldn't want to donate again and again and again.

6) place some stickers on yourself too
people always say that you have to set an example:D

LOL. it was interesting seeing how people donate. i kind of saw the goodness of mankind, if you get what i meant. but it was quite saddening when people are like ignoring you. oh yeah.
we saw this bunch of ang moh and i went to ask them. then one of them took my tin, and walked off. LOL. i ran after him la, and he gave me back,but he didn't give any money. so weird la!
flag day is super fun, but my left leg was killing me when i sat in the bus. quite sleepy too la. oreo milkshake quite nice, but it's sweet:D
WOOTS. 2 more days to 21/01! but i guess it would be fun, go out after school and stuff lor:D

damn la! i got public duty on monday. it's gonna be so pissing for me. i was planning to go out with my friends. it's like the only thing i have been looking forward to you know. i wish i could shout the f word, but my irritation is not directed at the cca, but at fate itself. of all days, why must it be on my birthday? i have been like staring at the calendar for like months, and here is my birthday present. thanks a damn lot. this is the only day i can have a free day off without getting scolded by my mother, and you suddenly tell me that. and it's until 6pm. wtf la. fate plays with everyone, but mine is too much. damn it. fcuk the people above.
